Why am I always part of the 5%?

I can't believe this is happening again. 2 weeks ago I saw a strong heartbeat on u/s and baby measuring right on track. Today showed no heartbeat and essentially no growth since the last scan. It's almost exactly what happened to us last time and DH and I are devastated once again. Thankfully my OB suggested that we go ahead with RPL testing even though this is "only" my second loss. My D&C will most likely be on Monday- the day after my birthday. I just feel numb right now. You all have been a wonderful support and I hope everyone here has a healthy pregnancy. Best of luck.

    I hope testing reveals an easily fixable answer for you. The ttcal blog has a great RPL post that is very helpful.

    Oh my gosh I am so, so sorry. Hugs, thoughts, and prayers for you and your husband. I have been through this too and the RPL testing did give us some answers. It was a relief to know what was going on. I hope that you can find answers too and, in time, heal.

    I'm so sorry you're going through this. Good to hear your doctor is going to be proactive.
    3 ectopic pregnancies (EDD's 1/30/12-tube removed, 6/2/12-methotrexate and 10/2/12-methotrexate)
    IVF and Natural FET resulted in BFN's and a hole in our wallets
    Natural BFP #4 on 9/7/12 gave us our miracle on 5/18/13

    BFP #1: 12/2009 m/c 1/2010 BFP #2: 6/2010 m/c 8/2010

    BFP #3: 10/2011 ectopic 11/2011 (right tube removed, learned left tube was probably nonfunctional due to scar tissue from infection after m/c)

    3 failed IUIs, IVF #1: 18R, 12M, 10F, 3 poor quality 5d embryos transferred= BFP #4!!!!!

    Betas: 9dp5dt: 64 ~14dp5dt: 91 (expecting miscarriage, doubling time of 236 hours) ~16dp5dt: 200~18dp5dt: 500

    First Ultrasound at 6w2d revealed two sacs, only one with a heartbeat

    LK arrived after 42 weeks on August 14, 2013! Beautiful, healthy, and happy!

    TTC#2: IVF booked for April 2015

    Surprise BFP#5 February 19, 2015 EDD: November 2, 2015

    Betas: 10dpo: 10, 14dpo: 77, 17dpo: 270

    First Ultrasound at 5w1d showed a miracle UTE baby! And right ovary ovulation to left fallopian tube.

    JD arrived at 38 weeks on October 20, 2015.

    TTC #3: Since October 2017. BFP #6 July 2, 2018 EDD: March 16, 2019 [/spoiler]

    I am so very sorry for your loss. No one should have to suffer through this repeatedly. I'm glad they are going ahead with testing, and I hope you get some answers!

    We lost our first (EDD 07/23/12) after finding out at 12 weeks there was no longer a heartbeat. Our rainbow was born 05/22/13 and was worth all we went through.

    oh, I'm so sorry. 

    our OB did the same thing, doing RPL testing after "only two" losses. I do like proactive doctors.

    Hugs. I'm very sorry for your loss.

    I'm glad your doctor is pursuing RPL testing. My testing didn't reveal anything useful, but it still gave me peace of mind to know we looked.

    I'm so sorry. Last year I had two missed miscarriages and it was basically the same situation both times. One loss is tough, but a second is such a slap in the face. HUGS and I hope the testing gives you some answers.

    BFP#3 Dec 21, 2012. Beta #1 @14dpo = 134, progesterone 67.8. Beta #2 @ 17dpo = 664! Team green, EDD 9/1/13, healthy baby boy born 9/12/13!
