Baby Names

What do you think of Hawke for a baby boy?

We considered Hawthorne and nickname of Hawk but we could just do Hawke. We're afraid without knowing his personality it's going to be too bold, thoughts?

Also, our last name is King so keep that in mind too.

Thanks!!

  • Hawke King sounds like spitting.

I much prefer Hawthorne of your choices.

  • No. Hawke King sounds really, really bad to my ear. Also seems uber masculine/tough/trying too hard.

  • First time I've heard Hawthorne nn Hawk as a first name - I like it. However; I am not a fan of Hawk King. It sounds like one word and just doesn't fit IMO.

  • I love the name Hawke!! But...with your last name it sounds like: Hawking or Halking...so you could stick with Hawthorne and if he likes the nn Hawk, there you go =D

  • First I think Hawke King like Stephen Hawking....then I think of spitting. Plus Hawke spelled that way I can see kids making fun of him saying something like hockey.

I don't like it at all. I don't think Hawthorne King is much better either like someone said a double last name.

  • I prefer Hawthorne to Hawke. Hawke King does not sound good.

You could use Thorn as the NN. Hawthorne=>Hawke isn't really intuitive to me.

  • I really like Hawk for a nn. I don't know why! I don't like it with your last name at all though.

    Hawkin or Hawkins maybe?
