Sleep training advice?

OK, I've about had it.  DS slept great from 2 1/2 to 4 months old, then came 4 month wakeful and he hasn't looked back since.  I can.not.handle.it.anymore.  He wakes up 3 hrs after going to bed then lately every 1-2 hours after that, sometimes wanting to eat, sometimes not.  I didn't have to sleep train DD (she wasn't the greatest sleeper but certainly wasn't the worst) but I'm thinking I'm going to have to for DS to save my sanity.

Advice?  What has worked in with your DC?

Re: Sleep training advice?

  • The Ferber Method is the ONLY thing that worked for DS. I started at about 5.5 months old, he was waking every 3 hours.  Now he sleeps from 8pm to 5am, feeds then goes back to sleep for another 1 1/2.  It takes dedication and commitment, but works in the end.  It took only about 3 days to get it down.  Of course he wakes if he is not feeling well, or I would assume when he starts teething. • You described my DD exactly.  I just bought the No Cry Sleep Solution and am starting to try some of the suggestions in there. I am still reading the book though, so I don't have much advice for you yet!
