Officially ttc starting this month!

I am excited but also a little nervous bc I don't know if I could handle the insanity of 2 under 2 in my life. But bc of my age [36] we decided kind of spur of the moment last night to ttc this month! We were going to start in the spring anyway but we said what the heck!

I am wondering how bf may be effecting my fertility, so we will see how it goes. I got my period back at like 3 mo postpartum, so I have regulated but my cycles are pretty short. So we'll see if this works! I plan to start opk next month, but this month we'll just do it the old fashioned way. According to my old fashioned period tracking, this is my week. We'll see!

Anyone w experience getting koed while bf I would love I hear your story. Also anyone else crazy enough to be ttc?

yayy...how exciting.. good luck .. i would start once my boy is a year old.. i did get my periods back.. but had only 2 so far though ...once at 3 m pp and the next time at 5m pp

Good luck to you! I am getting my implanon out on the 31st. I'm really excited/nervous! We ideally would like our lo and the next one to be 18-22 months apart. I did get my period back but ever since having the implanon it comes at random...usually every few months and I spot for two weeks. Hopefully my cycles go back to normal. It took about two months to get pregnant with my lo once I stopped birth control so heres hoping!

Good luck!

We weren't ttc but got pregnant at only 8 weeks pp. Our original plan was to start ttc this month too but our plans were not meant to happen that way. Of course that happens when you get drunk for the first time after pregnancy and forget contraception once. 7 months trying for James and all it took was a drunken night for this LO.

Wow... Congrats though! So when's your next due date?

I'm excited but honestly would probably wait if I was 30. Also my cycles are pretty short so I don't know if bfing is effecting my fertility, so we'll see. With both my dc I have been lucky enough to get pregnant he first month, but w bfing I have a feeling it might take more time this time around, which is ok by me bc I am a little nervous about it!

We're not preventing, but not officially ttc. I'm breastfeeding and don't have a cycle yet though, so I'm pretty sure it'll be a while still for me. If I had my way, I'd have 3 by the time I'm 35 and I'm 32 with only 1 now. Actually if I'd really had my way I'd already have 3, but life goes at its own pace.

Thanks. My due date is May 23rd but will be having my RCS on May 16th. It will be a month and 3 days before Jamess' 1st birthday. Just one of the many reasons why I'm already planning his party. Just found out last week we are having another little boy. Didn't really think alot of women on this board would be interested if I announced so just been responding to posts with my new siggy.

I'm sure once you get that bfp you won't be as nervous. Or at least not after the first couple weeks.

I've been trying for a while now, no luck yet. I've been BFing and no cycle, but I didn't have a cycle before this baby so I'm not expecting one this time either.

Good luck! I'm kind of jealous. Our original plan was to start TTC this month too but I just started a new job. It has lifetime potential, it's at a chiropractors office MTW and F no weekends, 5 min from home, 1 block from grandma daycare, and 3 blocks from the school. I just don't feel comfortable telling them a couple months from now that I'm pregnant. Now we're thinking probably July. Best wishes!

2U2 isn't that bad. My oldest 2 are 15mths apart then my middle and youngest are 20mths apart. You learn how to do time management very quickly with 2U2.

Our original plan was to wait till DS is a year old before TTC again. We are thinking about pushing that back till DS is 2 because DH deploys at the end of this year for 6 months. I normally wouldn't plan my life around the Military, I know he could get re deployed at the Navy's needs anytime, but I would rather be pregnant alone when DS is older rather than younger.

Plus DH is with a command who's deployment schedules hardly ever change so it's worth the gamble to wait till he comes back. I am also bfing so I haven't gotten my period back anyhoo hehe

We conceived while still BFing. DD was 20 months when we got KU the first month. It was crazy fast - I knew within like 9 days of conception. We weren't expecting it to be that quick, after it took a full year with DD#1.
