DH and I leave a week from today for a glorious week at the beach without the kids. I plan to sit my butt in a chair with my kindle in one hand and drink in another. I need good easy and fun to read book recommendations. I have no desire to learn anything new or expand my horizons. TIA
Re: Recommend your fluff books
I'm not sure what genre you are hoping for, but I love romance and have to have books with a Happy Ever After - life is too short to invest hours and energy into some downer Nicholas Sparks book where he inevitably kills someone (been there, done that).
Kresley Cole - Best paranormal series I've ever read (needs to be read in order). I wouldn't consider them fluff, but any book list I make will have her at the top
.
Monica McCarty - Best historical romance - she writes about real people and fills in the blanks on their history.
Julia Quinn - These are close to fluff books - very fun and lightweight - I recommend starting with her Bridgerton series.
Lisa Kleypas - Some great books - historical and contemporary.
Nalini Singh - Her Psy-Changeling books are excellent paranormals - again, needs to be read in order (first book is Slave to Sensation). Absolutely horrible covers - amazing stories!
Nora Roberts - I like a lot of hers, but I absolutely adore her Bride Quartet series! In order: Vision in White, Bed of Roses, Savor the Moment, Happy Ever After - it follows four friends who run their own bridal company and each take on a different facet (photographer, florist, baker, planner).
All happily ever afters, various genres. Enjoy your child-less week!
romance about 4 brothers who live on Maryland shore.
My favorite series. Love those guys.
Edit: meant to quote CJ....my phone bumping skills are terrible.

I liked Divergent and Delirium a lot. I also agree with Stephanie Plum and Emily Giffin. I think the Spellman series is fantastic - light, mystery series. Oh, and I loved On the Island.
I do not love Gone Girl - but I am one of the only people in the world who didn't like it.
Yes, I love Jane Green! Also Emily Giffin, Cecelia Ahern and Lauren Weisberger. Nora Roberts does a good romance novel (slightly smutty usually though) and her trilogies are great.
