Does anyone currently use a video monitor? We have an audio one for my son, but really want a video monitor for our next baby. Any suggestions on brand/type?
We've been using a Summer Infant video monitor (I think it was called the slim & secure or something) for almost three years. But we are looking at getting a Motorola one with two cameras before DD#2 makes her debut. The Motorola's tend to get betting ratings than the Summer ones do.
We had a Summer Infant Best View with our first LO but part of the charging aspect broke and we had to use rechargable batteries for it (and charge them every day). To replace it, we debated on the Summer Infant Baby Touch (I think that's the name...the one with the touch screen) and the Motorola BP36. We decided on the Motorola and I LOVE it. Having a video monitor has always been important to me and it's definitely one of my favorite baby related items.

ETA: I should add that we are expecting another LO in March so we will have 2 cameras being used on the monitor.
We had a Summer video monitor with DD but it is almost 4 years old so I was researching what monitor to get. As PP's have said, Motorola gets better reviews than Summer, but I was lucky enough to win one of the Summer Peek Plus monitors so that decided it for me...
With DD #1 (now almost 3) we had a Summer's Infant Night and Day handheld video and loved it. If it still works (after sitting boxed up in basement for over a year), we'll use it for #2 due in July. But if I need to get a new one, I might check out the Motorola just because they seem to be popular (from what I see here!).
