Chipped tooth! :(

So we had a little accident in the tub tonight

DD was standing even though she knows she is not supposed to and I was telling her no and asking her to please sit down and she was stomping her feet and she fell... and i thought she hit her lip on her tooth but there weas no blood and she cried for just a minute. Well then I was getting her dressed for bed and I noticed the corner of her front tooth is chipped a little on the very corner edge

(( What do I do??? Should I call the doctor? My mom suggested I get a new clean nail file and try to file it down so it's not sharp. I know she will lose it but I hope she didn't damage any nerves or that she doesn't bite her tongue or lips. Am I over worrying about it? She is all smiles now but mommy is not. Advice??

I used to be a hygienist at a Pediatric dental office... find one in your area and depending on how bad it is it can be filed or fixed....please do not file it with a nail file, call 1st thing... some have emergency weekend hours or short weekend hours. They will also make sure there is no nerve damage... poor baby!

Also, DON'T stress! It sounds like a small chip and unless the tooth was shoved upwards as well (are gums swollen or bruised?) there most likely is no nerve damage....it is just a chip and can be fixed....even if you have to look at it until Monday!

call the dentist- you wouldn't buy a nail file and file down your tooth if it got chipped?
