Again... too many people in a group prohibits honest to goodness "getting to know one another". Might as well just stick to the TB board.
No idiot. HERE. Seeing as how it is an offboard for a BUMP group, it isn't a huge jump that people will post things here too.
2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!

Right. When I said that I'd read the post limit thing on facebook up until the comments about how to search for how many times you posted. I didn't see the rest of it until now. I couldn't read your comments Kristy but it seemed no one intended anything malicious by reminding people to post. We had no idea of Panther's loss since we don't frequent the bump as often (if she had posted it here). It's too bad things got out of hand.
If you are seriously that concered about someones post count, this is still the better option. Unless you want to look like the special ruler of the group.
Yes, we're all psychic. If she doesn't post it on the Facebook page in question, how are the admins supposed to know about it?

With hindsight I don't think there was a good way to handle it. I kind of thought the posting rule was silly to start with, but I realized why it was there, to protect the girls online from people who are hanging out for reasons other than to be part of the community. And most people voted and selected five posts as a minimum, so I just shrugged it off and figured it'd be easy enough.
I just don't think ANYONE thought about how losses would affect it. And it sucks that people were hurt by it. But that wasn't the intention, I'm sure.
I like the FB group because I can keep up with it better, and it has fewer redundant posts than this place does. And fewer people so I feel like I can get to know people better. And because it allows me to use my beloved dashes and parentheses. That's why I joined it, and mostly it's been fine. Until today.
It may not have been malicious but to someone who has suffered a loss, it can come off that way. It is unfortunate because I liked a lot of girls in that group. Oh well.
Well, idiot, a lot of the people on the FB group don't come here anymore.
I'm guessing that they spend too much time making sure they hit their post minimum in that group that they don't have enough time to keep up with this board also.

Since I edited my last post after you quoted me... 150 is small to you? 20 is small to me. I actually know those girls/have a chance to get to know them. We have real relationships. I don't know how you can manage to get to know 150 so quickly.
What's it matter that there are intros every day and then you never hear from them again? How does that affect you at all?

I think it is different if you've already created a relationship with a few people and create a group. You already have the trust and support built.

The point is the admins are douches for "running" an off board that has only existed about 2 months and having no flucking clue what is going on on the site that spawned it, and the members that knew and kept quiet are douches for not telling the admins to edit the damn post and let the post count slide for now.

Ha. Did you see what happened when I tried? I'm on my tablet, so my capabilities are all jacked up. I might have done something wrong. It kept saying 'end quote missing' or something when I tried to post it.
ETA: When possible, I just do @user to avoid quoting long posts anyway. Tips are welcome, though.
