Disclaimer:
#1: We all know we can't control our delivery date.
#2: We all want healthy babies, would do nothing to endanger that, and agree that is the top priority.
#3: No time should be an inconvenient time to have a baby.
Ok, now beyond what is listed above. Are you hoping for a certain delivery date? Avoiding the creepy uncle's birthday? Hoping to hold out long enough for the company picnic?
My husband is the chairman of our county fair. We should've held off a month trying because we're due 10 days after the end of the fair. If I go in labor, he will be with me, no hesitations. A large amount of his work is done in the month before the fair, so if he has to leave, the co-chairman can make any decisions that are needed. I just hope that it doesn't come down to that.
Re: Avoiding Certain Dates?
Nope, not at all. Other than not going like a month early, when we'll hopefully be out of state at a family reunion (assuming I'm cleared to go).
My parents' anniversary is a few days before my EDD, and I think it would actually be kind of cute for it to be that day. And my childhood bff's bday is a few weeks later, although I think too much later for that to happen.
Me: 34 DH: 35
Married: July 2009
BFP: November 2012 after 2 years of TTC DS born August 2013
Diagnosed with PCOS April 2016
3 months of trigger shot with timed intercourse BFN x3
First IUI: 9/17/16 BFP: 9/30/16 EDD: 6/11/17
How many years will they be married?
I meant to add 'cool' dates to deliver.
I knew two people who had babies on my birthday last year and one the year before.
I just hope everyone takes this as the superficial, silly, GTKY question it was meant to be.
My due date is the Aug 12th and I would much rather go into labor at the earliest healthy and safe point. For example, August 1st. I work in the school system so I am hoping to miss as little of the beginning of the new school year as possible because I am paranoid I am not going to have a job to go back to when they find out I won't be there in September.
And some randomness for birthdates in my family:
Grandparents were married December 23rd. They had a daughter on their anniversary. That daughter had a son on that day.
(same) Grandparents share a birthday, Grandpa is one year older.
My parents share a birthday, Dad is one year older.
It would be freaking awesome if this little one comes 5 days later...
They do!! My daughter is born November 23rd and mine is December 1st and she completely overshadows it. I don't mind though. She's worth it.
This will be their 40th
(they still seem too cool and young and fun to me to be married that long - but they were older when they had me, and H and I are older getting started, too)

Yeah, I'm guessing you'll never get a "birthday month" again after you're a mama. Sorry, but it just wouldn't happen at our house due to how hectic life is. Enjoy next July as much as you can ;

No, in all seriousness, I really want to deliver at the beginning of the month. My best friend is getting married on the 17th and I am due the 15th. I really want to be at her wedding, and the only way it will really work is if I have lo on the early side.
