Prostaglandin Gel

Does anyone have any experience with this?   I am planning on delivering at a birthing center and I will be 41 weeks on Sunday.   My blood pressure was high at my appointment on Tuesday so I was sent to the hospital to be monitored.  My blood pressure came down and there wasn't any protein in my urine.   I wasn't dilated at all at my appointment.   So they are sending me to the hospital to have prostaglandin gel inserted.  I have appointments on Saturday, Sunday and Monday to hopefully get things moving along.   I will have to stay at the hospital for about two hours to be monitored and then I can go home.

    I was induced with this gel and it wen great. It is similar to cervadil. I stayed in the hospital after having it placed. Perhaps because it was my third child, but I delivered (naturally) 4 hours after the gel was placed. It was my fastest and easiest delivery. When I started the induction I was 0 cm. I don't think it's the norm for things to move as quickly as they did with me but its possible. I've also had a birth with pitocin, and this was so much more manageable and comfortable.
