Grayson Matthew has arrived!!

So.....it's a BOY!!! Grayson Matthew arrived at 11:14 pm Tuesday night weighing in at 7lbs 13oz. Apparently when I started cramping around 3:30ish, I was actually starting labor.
I was in complete denial that I could really be in labor especially since I had just experienced false labor. DH convinced me to call the doula and the timeline gets a little shakey for me here. Haha.
We were timing contractions and I was able to carry on completely normally between even though they started coming closer and closer. Around 8pm, maybe? we asked the doula to come to the house. We were also trying to get our plans for who would watch Max ironed out. My BIL and SIL got a call to head down, but were 2 hours away. We had known all along that there was a chance my DH might have to stay behind and unfortunately that is what happened.
The doula and I got to the hospital around 9 or 10. I have no idea. They admitted and checked me. I was at 6cm with a bulging bag of waters. My doula was amazing. I wanted to quit more than once and she just kept me going. After what seemed like forever but actually wasn't, my water broke.
As soon as my water broke, my body just started pushing on its own which is the most bizarre feeling in the world. I was on all fours halfway off the bed with no one in position to catch the baby so everyone was tying to get me to stop pushing. As soon as the doctor walked in we were ready to go and he was out in about 4 pushes.
Hubs finally made it about 10 minutes after the baby was born, but again we were kind of at peace with that being the situation. I had 2nd degree tears which are a walk in the park compared to what I had last time and we are getting discharged after dinner tonight.
I will post pictures when I can. He is such a cute squishy face!!!

Sorry Mr Cups couldn't make it though - I cannot wait to see pictures of little Mr Grayson - and big brother Max, too!

It sounds like you had a smooth labor. I'm sorry Mr. Cups missed out. Im glad everyone is healthy. You're going to love having two boys!!
