weight watchers?

Im a lifetime member, but havent done the program for a while. I joined a gym and love getting a good sweat, but my eating is out of control!  Im eating my second PBJ sandwitch right now!

Has anyone tried WW while nursing? DS is 6 weeks, I have about 10 lbs to go from my pre-preggo weight, but would really like to lose a total of 20.

 TIA!

I am in the SAME exact boat as you. I am nursing and my appetite is WAY out of control..I am eating more now than when I was pregnant!

Curious to see what others say about WW...

  • Lurking from 6-9 months - I did WW online for about 4 months while BFing and lost 20lbs. When you register online one of the questions they ask is are you nursing and they give you a ridiculous amount of points! They gave me 40 points a day-I was like you with wanting to eat all the time but most days it was still difficult to use all those points (especially with fruits being zero pts now). I actually checked it the other way too and if I wasn't nursing they would have only given me 28 pts a day and it was an EXTREMELY rare occasion that I even touched the weekly bonus points-there was one night DH and I decided to really indulge and we had steaks on the grill with steak fries and brownies...the two of us ate the ENTIRE tray of brownies that night! lol! Good Luck!

  • I've been doing WW since LO was 8 weeks. It's been going great. You can eat heaps of food, like pp said, and I've had no issues with supply.

Plus I find it really easy to manage on a day to day basis.

Since starting WW I've lost around 22 lbs.

  • I did WW pre-marriage and it went great!  Lost 40lbs!  This time I started when I was BF and have since stopped BFing so I now have 28 pts instead of 35!  And honestly, even though I am not BFing I am still hungry all the time - I think I'm eating to keep my body fueled when I'm low on sleep = having trouble sticking to the points values and not losing weight yet.  Thank God for Zumba or I'd be in big trouble (12 extra points for 1 hour zumba)!  I know this program works, I just gotta get better at sticking to it!

Anyways, just wanted to pop in and say hi and good luck!

  • I just started on Saturday and have found it easy so far.  In my case I bf and supplement, so I get 33 points a day.  My eating was out of control so I needed something to get me back on track.  GL!

  • Thanks everyone. I joined, and I get 40 points a day, plus the 49 weekly points!! If I can't stick to that, then I'm in trouble! Thanks for the encouragement. :)
