Tell me your work-out plans

I zumba regularly and go to a butt whooping class once or twice a week. I plan to continue, but wondering what other kinds of workouts you ladies will do throughout your pregnancies. Im not sure how long I will continue with the classes as they are INTENSE!!

  • I run a couple days a week, do some weights, and go to a body pump class on Thursdays (hi-rep weightlifting targeting different muscle groups).  I plan to continue as long as I can. With DS I ran up until 36 weeks (he was born right before 38 weeks) and I was at the gym the day before he was born.

  • Try to make it to the Y 1-2 times a week so I don't feel bad about paying for the membership.

  • I go 4 days a week. I do step twice a week and either jog or spin the others. I do weight lifting 23 of the days as well. And of course I do 2 one hour walks with DS, weather permitting.

  • I'm still running a 5k 3x a week and lifting light weights (high reps)and yoga once a week. I plan on doing it for as long as my body feels good...

  • I'm taking it a little more easy than a normal pregnant person because I'll be high risk for a good part of this pregnancy, but so far I'm easing off restricted activity with pre-natal yoga and Summer Sanders pre-natal workout.  Neither are hard by any means, but since I've done literally nothing for over a month now it is what I need.  Once I'm in a good place with those I'll go back to using my elliptical and adding in the beachbody brazil butt lift workouts I had started before.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

  • I spin a couple days a week. I also go to a weights/strength class and do yoga once a week.  I was going to a high impact aerobics class per-pregnancy but I am waiting to go back until I have my first dr. appt.

  • I run a few times a week and I've been trying to stick with P90X but I get bored with it. After my first appointment I'll be rejoining my bootcamp class. The instructor is phenomenal and will kick your butt. She's very knowledgeable about modifications for pregnancy and those with injuries.

I'm training for a marathon in May so I run  three 3-mile runs during the week and one long run on Saturday.  I also hit the gym twice a week to do weights, but only for 20 minutes or so :-P I've never tried Zumba as I'm uncoordinated and afraid I will fall on my butt!

  • I will continue everything I did pre pregnancy, which was my game plan with my first.

I do cardio twice a week (elliptical, running or swimming), and lift weights 4 days a week.  I won't bench press, do squats, and probably after the first tri, limit abdominal exercises.

I think as long as you don't start something new or dramatically increase intensity, you will be fine.

  • I've been doing a ballet barre class, light weight training, and cardio 4 days a week. I will continue to do as much as I can for as long as I can, but I'm being very cautious. I didn't work out at all with my first pregnancy and it was hard as hell to get the weight off.

  • Regular walking (as fast as my body will let me go with this new found shortness of breath, sweating like a mad woman, and dizzy spells), and yoga.

  • I just bought a prenatal yoga DVD. I have never done yoga, but want to be more active this pregnancy.

  • I just finished Insanity right when I found out that I am pregnant.  I am going to be doing Brazil Butt Lift for 8 weeks, Turbo Jam, Slimin6, running, and yoga for as long as I possibly can.  I had post partum depression after my second was born.  I don't want to ever have to go back on meds again and I am hoping with regular exercise it will help my hormones stay in check.
