Croup can kiss my patoot.

Seriously.  I hate this stupid virus.  Monday, DS was perfectly fine.  No problems other than he wouldn't nap.  Tuesday morning, perfectly fine.  Tuesday afternoon barky seal like cough. We are not at the point where they will do anything for it yet so we are just waiting and hoping it doesn't get worse.  Sadly for the little man though he's just miserable and not sleeping well because he keeps waking himself up.

The good news is that it's effing cold here right now so that's at least good for croup and I have been through it recently so I know what to do.

  • I am so sorry.  I can totally and completely empathize with you.  I hope that he feels better soon, or at least get a good night's rest.

  • Oh no! Amelia had croup a couple weeks ago. I rolled a blanket up and put it under her mattress to let her sleep on an incline. The dr told us to keep the humidifier going, and to giver her some children's zyrtec. She was better in a couple days, but it is so scary hearing them gasping for air.

  • This is his second bout since November.  I hate it.  Scared the crap out of my aunt and uncle who heard the gasping sounds coming out of him when I took him outside last night.  Poor little dude.

  • Ah, I am sorry. We just dealt with this as well. Our pedi gave us a very small dose of steroid that we were only to use for two days. It fixed it right up. Maybe you could try that?
