2nd ultrasound today and SCH found....

Had my 2nd ultrasound at 8 weeks 2 days this morning. Both babies looked awesome with very fast little heartbeats. My RE doesn't measure the heartrate so I'm not sure what it was. Baby A is measuring right on track and Baby B is one day ahead at 8 weeks 3 days.

I found out today that I "for sure" have a subchoironic hemorrage though which has been the cause of bleeding. The RE didn't measure it but said it was pretty big. It looks like it's next to Baby A....actually below it. He didn't seem too concerned about and said I will probably bleed again. I'm just waiting for another giant gush...ugh! I'm a little "relieved" we know the reason but I'm nervous because it's so big. I really hope it doesn't hurt the babies.... I have my first OB appointment Tuesday adn I'm sure we'll discuss this then.

Yay for healthy looking LO's!!! I hope the bleed starts to clear up and any bleeding you do have is minor and passes quickly!

Glad the babies are looking good! SCHs can be a huge PITA because you can bleed on and off, but it's a relief that your RE wasn't concerned. Definately let your OB (and MFM, if you are seeing one for the twins) know so they can keep an eye on it! GL!

I had a rather large SCH (about 2 1/2 long) that bled consistenly for about six weeks. They can be a PITA, and cause a lot of stress. If your RE didn't seem concern, even with the size of it, it's most likely because of it's position.

My OB told me the major concern with SCH's is typically if they're close to the placenta, because in the event they're open up they could potentially cause a separation of the placenta from the uterine wall.

When you meet with your OB, ask about the size and placement - as well as any concerns they may have. It will give you a much better sense of peace.
