J said "love you daddy" and "love you mommy" last night. OMG Best. Feeling. Ever! He said it again when we put him to bed and then he yelled "love you" to me when I was leaving for work this morning. Everytime I hear it my heart just about bursts. So amazing to finally hear the words. Obviously, I know my baby loves me but to actually hear it is so amazing.

On another happy note, he is not only using Please, Thank you, and Excuse me but he is using them appropriately. I didn't think this kid was ever going to learn manners LOL His speech is really picking up, which eases a lot of fears for me.

Aw, I love it! Yay!

I love when M tells me he loves me. He's done it for awhile, after we say it to him first, but just recently he's started saying it on his own terms. So great!

I love when he says "thank you" and "please" too - such polite little people we have!

I thought I was the only Dec mom that hadn't heard it from their kid yet. I didn't realize there were still some mom's waiting for their "love you". It will come out of no where any day now and you'll be all sorts of shocked that they finally said it. J seems to be behind most of the Dec kids with his speech so it's exciting for me that he's finally catching up a bit.

There is nothing like hearing your child say I love you and knowing they are catching on to manners. Now Jared tells "kisses! Hugs!" every night after he tells me he loves me melt

My J has a great vocabulary but he won't say "I love you" to me or H. He will say "I love Grandma" to me but won't say it to her.

I don't get it. He'll pick up a new word after hearing it once but this phrase that's he's heard every day of his life he won't say. I think he's messing with me on purpose!

I can't wait for O to say it. He blows kisses as his way of saying I love you but I would be over the moon to hear him say the words.

I can't get enough of Brooklyn saying she loves me or daddy. It sounds a little more like "I yav you" but never the less i'll take anything.

Aww, that is so sweet. There really is nothing better. The best is when it comes unsolicited. The other day, I was sitting next to Griffin on the couch while he watched some Sesame Street, and suddenly he just leaned over and kissed me and I said, I love you mommy. Ahhh.. my heart melted. :-)

I'm pretty sure my J was messing with me for awhile. I would tell him to say "I" and he would repeat it, then I'd say "love" and he'd say "You" He purposely wouldn't say love so I gave up and then all out of no where last night he tells us he loves us so I guess we just had to wait for it to be on his terms.

How cute! Carter just started saying it a couple weeks ago. Now at nap and night time when I say "night night, I love you" he says "yaaa youuu. night night". It's the best feeling ever!
