I have an unexpected snow day today I teach and get to spend all day with my little man!! So excited! What are your favorite indoor activities with your toddlers???
School is cancelled, so I don't have rehearsal for the musical and I'm not driving out to take hazel to dance this morning. I just have to wait to see if there will be dance this afternoon, but I really don't want to do that commute in the snow during rush hour for just one hour of teaching. Blaahh. FX that dance is cancelled.
I'm jealous! But have lots of fun. B loves to paint so that could be a fun indoor activity.
You could get a jumpstart on Valentine's day and start a Valentine craft. If you have red paint and an old toilet paper tube, you fold the tube so the end is vaguely heart-shaped and then your LO can use it like a stamp.

How do you keep LO from painting the rest of the house?? I really want to paint with him but am waiting til we can do it outside. He loves to draw on walls

We do it at the kitchen table and E knows that once he gets up it means we wash our hands and the paintings done. He loves to do it and I've had him paint on canvas and hung it in his room. He's always showing people and telling them "I paint that!"
I strap B into his booster seat and he paints at the kitchen table. But if you don't have a booster seat I'd do what everyone else does - the first time he gets down give him a warning. The second time, put it away. He'll tantrum something rotten for a few times, but will learn that it's more fun to stay at the table.
Re: Snow Day!!!
Looks like a snow day for me too!

Love this idea!!!

Cute idea and C knows the only place he can paint is at his play table. I say it over and over and over again. If he takes it elsewhere, I remind him. If he keeps doing it, the stuff goes up. But, have you ever seen Do-A-Dot paints? They're awesome and pretty clean! https://www.amazon.com/Do-A-Dot-Rainbow-Art-Set/dp/B00004W3Y4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1358355902&sr=8-1&keywords=do+a+dot
