Crib Transition - 3am Dance Party

Hi There! My little guy just turned 6 months at the end of last month. I thought it was time for the official crib transition. He's done well with it some days and others not so much. For a couple of days now consistently he has been sleeping 8 to 2 or 3a with no problems. Maybe getting up only 1 or 2 just being fussy but then goes right back down. But at 3am, he finds it to be the hour to have a house party. He is up, wide awake - oh's and awe's, kicking and rolling all around. If I ignore him he starts to wine. I thought maybe he was hungry but he wont eat, I tried changing his diaper - doesn't matter. I take him out of his crib because I need to sleep and put him in his pack n play. We deal with this for a good hour or so and he goes back to sleep until 730a. Do you have any advice of what I can do to get over this hour of partying? Thanks!

Re: Crib Transition - 3am Dance Party

  • When DD was right around 6 months we had 2weeks where she thought 3-4am was a good time to start the day. I tried all the tricks in the book, but none worked except time. After a couple of weeks she was back to sleeping until 6:30-7am.

No advice here unfortunately, just hang in there and it will pass.
