Yeah. That thread took up most my evening when that went on. It was like a car crash that I couldn't help but look at. The RTV thread I never went back to, definitely not a flogging.

Except he was all over here Wednesday-Friday. Even the wifey-poo showed up.

Right, but that was while he was at work and away from the baby. I thought maybe he took a weekend break since he was back home with the fam.

To those who asked what happened, Aundrea posted a thread about how he needed to charge his phone because she was trying to text him. At first people joked that it was funny that she knew to find him here. Then people started calling them AWs and saying she should have just privately emailed him or sent him a private FB message. It just got awkward and weird. A few posters gave him and Aundrea more grief than others. RTV struck back a little bit. I think someone called him an a-hole or a douche or something else.

For me, the buck stopped with him saying it's lame to be offended by something that isn't aimed toward you. Like I'm not supposed to get offended that someone was telling tasteless Asian jokes in front of my Asian friend.

But maybe I'm just a bleeding heart.

RTV is a dude. He started posting here a few months ago. His wife was pregnant with their first child.

He was cool at first. He was intelligent and, although somewhat conservative politically, was a good addition to the board during the election discussions.

Then he started to turn into a frat boy and got annoying.

He got better, then he brought his wife to the board and it began to be like watching a couple talk to each other on their FB walls n' stuff. Super annoying again.

Then he posted something super naive in the UO thread last week and it got our dander up.

This last weekend his wife posted something about charging his phone and people called them out on it for being a weird thing to post.

Shiit got awkward.

He hasn't been back since.

This. I don't necessarily agree with his "offended by Asians" UO, but there have been a ton of UO's I don't necessarily agree with. I mean, the board did ask for his wife to join us. What did everyone think was going to happen with a husband/wife combo?

The main point to UO threads is to find the undesireable posters woth the rate UO and to start spin off threads about opinions that keep the board moving. Sure no one cares if we hate bubble necklaces or loves ballet but there is usualy new posts made.
