So...everynight when I put DS to bed in his crib I ask myself how am I supposed to do this with a huge belly!?! I am only 5 foot 1 and putting him in there laying down is hard enough as it is. So what happens when I am 7 months pg and the belly is in the way? He will only be 22 months so I think he will be too young for a big boy bed or should I just plan to transition to a bed early? I know it's early but I am furniture planning as we are moving and not sure what to do!?!
Re: Mommies of 2 crib and belly Q?
Step 1: Stand at safe distance
step 2: throw child into crib
just kidding
. But I have no clue. I just put my 2yo DD into the crib standing and she lays down herself.
hee hee- I think this is what my husband does! I know people that have transitioned to a big bed at 18 months, but our pedi recommended staying in the crib as long as we could, and we love not worrying about him getting up and wondering around!
Once he was a little over a year, I could just pick him up and place him in, and he would lie down on his own (or stand and scream, but then no amount of leaning over would stop that!), so I don't really need to lean and think it's going to work out ok if he's still in his crib when LO gets here.
Our little lightbulb is on the way!

Ha this is my vote too! I'm short too but like PP said, I stand DD in the crib and she lays down on her own. We hope to transition her to a bed in a few months so hopefully this won't be an issue for me.
