My mom called me yesterday morning and asked if I would take her and stepdad to the airport. They woke up yesterday and decided to fly out of town for 2 weeks. She also asked me to pick her friends from the airport today because they were supposed to get her friends, but now they are gone. With how much driving I've done this week, I feel like a taxi service!"Tuna Takes You" taxi service. Have somewhere to be? Let Tuna take you there!
I would be annoyed. Especially about picking up their friends. I woukd definitely tell my mom I need some gas money.
She is keeping DS over 3 long weekends in the next few months and she watched him for a day at the very last minute for me last week. I felt super obligated lol.

Ok well then I guess that is fair. I think I would still be annoyed but I woukd do it.

Very generous of you. DH needs to be dropped off at the airport in March, can you take care of this for me?
Yes! It will cost 25 jars of Nutella and new porch light.
Got it. Did you want an actual porch light fixture or just the lightbulb?

Random facts from my roadtrip:
1. My dad likes the Backstreet Boys and wants them on his ipod when he gets home
2. I love the Tennessee beer Yazoo
3. New Mexico is flippin cold in the winter time
4. The Grand Canyon is totally worth seeing. Even if it adds two hours to your driving total that day.
5. Oklahoma looks a lot like Texas
#4 - totally agree. So awesome. Was there snow?
#5 - That's blasphemy, but at least you compared Oklahoma to Texas, and not the other way around. Are you driving on I-40?

Haha!! I love it! Did your Dad discover his newfound attraction to the BSB because you all were rocking out to the BSB? Or was it self discovered?
Please tell us you brought a boy bands mix playlist!

Good morning, ladies! We slept in today - DS went to bed late-ish and then woke up at 1:45 wanting milk, PLUS he missed his nap yesterday. It's 9am, and he's just now stirring, probably because he can hear my fingers clacking on the laptop keyboard. He always knows when I'm on my laptop.
So glad I only had 3 pages to read instead of 13 this morning!
Don't they still have them? I thought I saw the machine at a 7-11 last month.
When we were with the ILs, DH was telling me about a convenience store he went to that day that had 10 different flavors of slushie (not sure if it was a 7-11). My response: Where's mine?
I feel like whenever I post, everyone always disappears. Where did everyone go? Do I smell bad? Or am I just late to the party and everyone else's LO is up already?
And totally random (because I'm doing my part to get the thread locked) - I'm really tired of the bad cell reception in my room. My phone was fully charged when I went to bed last night, so I unplugged in. A few minutes ago, it chirped and said it was at 15%. So I guess it was searching for service, running the battery down all night. Pfft.
I'm pretty sure I dreamed about this thread last night. That's why I didn't come back immediately this morning. I figured if I'm dreaming about it, my obsession is unhealthy.
Help us decide, we have $50 to Red Lobster, and $20 to Leann Chin-- which should we have tonight?
I got $25 to Joann Fabrics- I just got a sewing machine- tell me, what should I buy first??
I also have $150 to a salon.. Totally going to get my hair done!!! probably not today, but maybe this week... Hmm... I want to go crazy with my cut and totally differnt but with all the weddings this summer I want my hair long enough for up-do's .. Might just do the same ole same!
Also have $100 to Kohls and I need shirts for work, I'm going to hit the sales rack like a mad-woman!!
Despicable Me is on tonight and it is in my plans to watch it! Whether H wants to or not!
I've never heard of Leann Chinn, so can't help you with that one.
But maybe I can help with the Joann one - do you already sew? Do you have any projects in mind? I haven't been to a Joann in forever (none in Hawaii), but when I went to the one by my aunt's house last spring, they had a huge display of free craft how-to papers. Maybe browse that and use your GC to buy supplies?
Or - I was teaching a friend to sew, and we made simple tote bags. You can do a google search for free tutorials and start with that (if you're a beginner).
And if you already sew, do you plan on making DD an Easter dress? I think they usually start bringing the spring fabric out this time of year. Or maybe something cute for Valentines Day?
Still can't decide if we are going to be team green or not.
Do it! It was so fun! Made labor more exciting in my opinion. It also gave me more motivation in the home stretch because I wanted to know what the baby was sooo badly by that point

I want to. DH kinda wants to but, he really wants a reveal cake.
I decided that 9:45 was late enough for DS to sleep, so I got him up. And then since he'd slept so long (and had a midnight cup of milk) his diaper had over-filled and his legs were covered in pee. (The one downfall of my generic diapers...) So then I had to give him a bath. Now he's eating his brunch while I try to find some more houses to check out.
That's probably more detail than you wanted, eh?
I hope you get gold today!
And now that everyone is back, I have to go be productive.

Yes we have been on I40 headed east for days!
We had snow in Arizona up by the Grand Canyon. NM was clear as good be and 19
Be glad that you weren't on I-10 - that drive is pretty miserable. From the east of California to just east of El Paso, there isn't much variation in the scenery. Flat, dirt, scrubby brush, with a few mountains. Also, I love Texas, but the 10-12ish hours it takes to drive all the way across on I-10 are extremely tedious.
