Why is McDonald's so good

I have never been a big McDonalds fan but within the past couple weeks it's all I can think about. We ate it a lot as kids and I always loved sweet and sour sauce for my nuggets which is exactly what I am going to enjoy for lunch today. My mom just laughs because when she was pregnant with me she would say her car would just turn in to McDonald's for French fries and it was out of her control. I completely understand now. Anyone else lovin McDonalds right now?

  • Eating McDonalds as we speak! Have never been this big of a fan until now.
  • Because is so dang bad for you. That is what makes it effing delicious.

There is something magical about the cheeseburgers for m/s as Liz said.

I usually feel really good after eating one, but then it doesn't always sit well later. The oddest thing about McDo is that it always helps me with constipation? Mystery!

  • I haven't had it in ages since there isn't one near me, BUT I have to drive down I-95 on Sunday night, and I am TOTALLY going to stop at one.

Actually, it might be BK instead, given what's on the highway, but I'm OK with either.

  • If it was healthy I would eat it everyday without a doubt. I've been pretty good with staying away until today. Oh well.

  • when my MS was at its abs worst, one of the first foods I got in me and kept in was an egg mcmuffin.  also - LOVING the french fries (i've never, even as a kid, liked french fries) dipped in sweet and sour sauce
  • Amen to whoever mentioned their car turning into McD's with no control. My car has taken me to get Egg McMuffins three times this week! Yesterday I pulled into the McD's on my way to work, but the drive thru was closed. I actually found myself driving fifteen minutes out of my way to go to another one to get my fix. All I could think was WHAT am I doing?? But I could. Not. Stop. I looked up the calorie count of an egg McMuffins to try to talk myself out of it, but they're only 300 calories! It was no help!

And last week I saw a commercial at 10pm for a mcD's value menu cheeseburger and I had to send DH out to get one. I never had him retrieve a single craving for me last pg and I always thought girls who did were silly. But now, here I am. McDonald's, you have brought me to a new low.
    Waiting for #3!

  • Not a McDonald's fan.  Chick fil-a has my heart.

  • It has been tasty and I don't eat there often at all. A regular hamburger or a McChicken without mayo....so good.

Last night I had a HUNGER for Taco Bell *ashamed*. I got a 7 layer burrito and it was delicious. Why does fast food taste so good? I haven't had any signs of ill effects luckily so it makes it that much harder to resist.

Yeah it tastes really good in the moment but the last time I ate there I felt terrible afterwards.  Not to mention what the food is actually made of...especially the McNuggets. Ick!

Yes! I am always so happy eating it and then I remember what it's made of and then I feel guilty/grossed out. I had a quarter pounder with cheese yesterday, came home and read the next chapter in one of my baby books and it was all about how horrible trans fats are for baby. you can't win.

  • The first 12 weeks or so that was all I could eat. I was going there at least 4-5 times a week. Now it sounds like the worst thing in the world. I over did it, and got my normal(ish) appitite back at the same time.

  • With my first McDonald's was seriously all I could eat for the first trimester. this time I really like Carl's Jr/Hardee's.

But this morning I stopped at McDonald's while I was out on a walk to get the $1 any size drink, and asked for a small fry. They were still serving breakfast, but they made a batch specially for me! Nothing like fries that are still sizzling!

  • When my all day MS was at it's absolute worst the only thing I could stomach was the Filet O Fish.  I had it down to a system.  Swing by Kroger, get a McD's gift card because during part of that time it was 4x points towards gas, and go to McD's down the parking lot.  My friend is the store manager there and was nice enough to tell her employees to please use discretion towards me because with high schoolers around here you never know what will come out of their mouths.  That I was pregnant and that was all I could eat.  So every day at lunch I'd swing through the drive thru and get my Filet O Fish and a large sweet tea.

I did make DH make a midnight run the other night for a Big Mac.  Thought it was the best thing I'd ever had to eat.

I have a large unsweet tea every day (grab it on the way in to work).

I don't drink coffee, its zero calories, lasts all day, and prevents me from drinking my calories via pop.  McDonalds brews it fresh and the giant styrofoam cup in Virginia is a buck.  Can't beat it.  People at work joke that I'm never without it.

I haven't been able to really like McD's this pregnancy.  And I love their cheeseburgers and filet o fish.  Just can't eat them right now.

i do love their tea, but I've been trying to cut back.
