I'm looking to purchase some washable nursing pads, as I've already gone through 2 boxes of the disposable ones and for that price I could've just purchased some washable ones. Also, I use Lansinoh multiple times a day, will this affect the absorbancy of the washable nursing pads? I know it will probably stain them, but I'm not really worried about that since I'm the only one who will ever see them. Please recommend yours.
Re: Re-usable nursing pads
Just be careful about using fabric nursing pads too early. My LC prefers the disposables until your supply regulates and you stop leaking so much. Re-usables tend hold too much moisture in when you are leaking and it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria which would cause a multitude of issues.
For the re-usables I have the Medela ones which are ok, but I prefer my Motherhood maternity ones. They are made of a soft fleecy material that is really nice. I know the board really likes the Bamboobies.
Also, I just started using my Lily Padz with coming back and work and I prefer them a TON to the fabric pads. They aren't as bulky, I find that I leak less and I only need the one set since I wash them in the sink at night and put them on again the next morning.
