My accidental "opps" moment from Friday night.

Friday was DH's work Christmas party...a semi-formal dinner and dance. Lots of fun.

So we decide to meet some of DH's co-workers at a bar next door to the venue for a few cocktails before heading to the party. Dh introduces me to his co-worker (male) and his girlfriend, who I hit it off with right away. We chat away about this and that and she starts telling me about her brother's wedding next weekend and all the plans, and crazy bride, etc. Hilarious stuff. I say "trust...I know about crazy weddings. I had to help my sister with her's and she was queen bridezilla." I then go on about how crazy she was and how her MIL was a nightmare. I apparently said sister's name and this girls stops me...."Wait a minute. You aren't talking about K and J's wedding in May?" opps..... Me: "yes, were you there?" "Yes! J and I grew up together! I know his mom well!" (the woman I was just saying was a nightmare.) she continues: "My boyfriend grew up with your sister..they've known each other since 5th grade!" (my sister that I was just calling a bridezilla!) she continues: "I've been trying to figure out how I recognzied you!"

gahhhhhhhhhhhh!

Omaha is WAYYYYYY small town, seriously.

So, I texted my sister, said I was hanging out with her friends. Then I had the guy who she grew up with later text my sister and say "dude, your sister is dancing on the tables at MY work party! She's crazy!" as a joke, which caused my sister to go into crazy mode...she texted me, texted her friend, called my DH twice trying to find out if I was really acting like a fool. Hilarious.

Anyways, now I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this girl doesn't go back to my sister's husband and say "oh, guess what your wife's sister said about your mom!"
