DH and I have a height difference of more than 14". So far we've been in relatively good luck when it comes to our baby finds we'll have to share- our carrier fits both of us (decently) well and our crib is neither too high nor too low. But now we're trying to figure out strollers.
The only places that carry a variety of strollers in our area are Target and BRU. And to say they carry a variety is being polite. Target has maybe 3 on their shelves, and while BRU has more, we would really like a lightweight stroller since our car doesn't have a huge trunk. To add to the difficulty, we're trying to stay under $200. I know, you get what you pay for, but it's honestly not in the cards for us to buy a super nice stroller.
Right now I'm thinking the Inglesina 2012 Swift. The YouTube videos we've seen look promising, but we can't "test drive" it anywhere in the area. The Maclaren was okay, but the Inglesina got higher reviews.
What do you ladies think? Do you have any other recommendations? I also just saw the Chicco ct0.6. Anyone else use that before?
Re: Good stroller for parents with height differences?
I'm not totally sure about height but when I was looking for a lightweight stroller, I liked the Joovy Groove, Uppababy Gluxe, and the Chicco Liteway. The Baby Jogger City Mini is also smaller but I think the handlebar is fixed so it might not be so good for you.
Do you have an infant car seat? Do you want a stroller that you can use with it? You could get a snap n go off Craiglist for $20 or 30 and then get a more versatile stroller in a few months.
I'm 5'5 and DH is 6'7, we went to buy buy baby to try out every stroller. We settled on city mini gt, love the adjustable handle bar, it works great for both of us. Also love the easy fold and more all terrain wheels.
We got the uppababy Gluxe umbrella stroller. Cheap umbrella strollers were an absolute joke when DH tried to push them.
i recommend taking a trip to bbb even if its a drive. More high end strollers offer adjustable handles.
