So I feel very clueless about strollers and need some help. Do they make umbrella strollers that will hold an infant car seat? We are trying to figure out the stroller situation and what I would like to do is get a jogging stroller of some type and then also an umbrella stroller. We don't have a ton of storage so the least number of strollers the better.
If they make a lightweight umbrella stroller that will hold an infant car seat what are your recommendations?
Thank you!!
Re: FTM Stroller question
Do you already have an infant carseat? Graco Mosaic umbrella stroller holds the graco snugride (I believe any of them). We bought this go go with our snugride ($119 at BRU) and will be splurging on a BOB in the weeks to come.
I also remember seeing a chicco umbrella stroller that holds the keyfit but I can't remembers he name of it off the top of my head.
Im sure there are others out there, these are just the 2 we were considering.
Good luck in your search
A bob stroller for jogging I also I purchased the infant car seat adapter
A snap and go for the infant car seat
A lightweight travel ie umbrella stroller. I bought the uppababy glux which reclines for use from 3 months.
We do not have a full size stroller, nor do I feel I need one, and don't plan to purchase one.
There are a good number of lightweight strollers that will take an infant seat. I think getting a jogging stroller and one of these could easily get you through most of your strollering days.
Bumbleride Flite
Valco Snap
Cybex Onyx and Callisto
Chicco Liteway Plus (only for a Chicco car seat)
Aprico Presto (only takes Graco)
I agree. This is what we did too.
My biggest piece of advice re:stroller is not being afraid to make an investment. It is a piece of baby gear that we have certainly got our money out of already and we plan to use it for several more years. You can't say that you'll get years of use from too many pieces of gear!
Britax b-nimble and cybex onyx. These were the two strollers I originally was looking at; ended up buying the b-agile since it was almost as lightweight as and found it cheaper than the cybex. Figured I could buy an even smaller umbrella (and cheaper) when LO was >6months.
good luck!
We have a BOB jogger for exercise and a City Mini for everything else. We used the City Mini with the Chicco Keyfit30 at first and now without and we love it.
