Medala Advanced Basic double pump question

Does anyone else use the Medala advanced personal double pump machine?   

I pump for 10mins every 3hrs but I'm having trouble figuring out if I'm getting all i can from my pumping.  

The first phase: Stimulation Phase expresses in about 2mins but then switches over to the second phase: Expression Phase, I pump for the remaining 8mins on the Expression phase but nothing is expressed, and the machine won't let me switch back over to the first phase.  Am I staying on the machine long enough?  Is anyone else dealing with this also?

    Are you ever getting any milk out?  Are your pump parts new? The white membrane can need replacing.  Some women have difficulty getting a letdown for the pump. Looking at pics/video of baby can help.  If the fast suction works better for you, just hit the letdown button again to go back to that setting.

    The machine is brand new.  Milk comes out for the first stage which is 2-3mins, but it won't let me switch back to the first stage when the second stage starts.

    I have the pump in style advanced. I would really try pumping longer. I pump 20 minutes each session.
