Teaching babies

So my seven-month old and I play and read a lot throughout the day, but I can't help wondering if there are some teaching-type activities that I should be doing with him. Something more structured. Do you ladies do anything like that?

    Someone on the Bump posted this free link before, and I like it: www.productiveparenting.com. (I don't know how to make it hyperlink, sorry.) They will email you activities as often as daily, or you can search through a ton of activities. So far they've sent me some that are a bit higher level than I think is appropriate for DS, some that are great ideas, and some that are kinda passive (like putting up a bird feeder so you can see birds in the yard...wow, would my dogs love that!).
