Fisher Price is warning parents about the potential for mold in Rock 'n Plays that aren't cleaned regularly/properly.
I just caught this on the news this morning and thought I'd share since we've got quite a few pg & TTC moms.
Here's a link to the information on the CPSC's website:

Re: Rock 'n Play Recall - PSA
I agree with this. I get that the design may be prone to mold...but obviously the chair (or whatever you call it) is not growing mold on its own.
It is still gross and good for parents to know, but I'm not sure I really blame FP.

I never saw mold on ours when O used it after removing the fabric part. But its in storage now so ill make sure to check it thoroughly when we need it again.
Panda, I don't remember exactly how you take it off but its easy to do
It just unsnaps right off. We used to just put it in the washing machine.

The RnP has a cloth cover and a plastic base. I'm sure the fabric can get moldy if it gets damp or is kept in a damp place.
While we're on the subject, this could probably also happen to anyone's carseat cover, highchair cover, swing cover, etc. If the fabric gets wet and isn't removed to dry it could get moldy.
