7 Weeks Pregnant

new here

So I've used the knot for my wedding plans and it was great!  It seems like there is a lot of great info here also.  I just found out on Dec 18th we are having our first and I'm kind of nervous about it.  My first appointment isn't until Jan 22nd.  Should I be preparing now or wait for the doctor visit?  It doesn't feel real to me yet even though I'm always nauseous but I haven't gotten sick yet, I'm bloated and tired all the time and extra moody.  Any advice for someone who likes to be well organized and know everything ahead of time?  I thought about putting together a binder like I did with the wedding to stay organized and on top of things.  Anyone else start one and what did you put in it?  I have other questions but I'm not sure how friendly everyone is yet.  I'm afraid of people judging.  Thanks!

  • We're on the same schedule pretty much!  I found out on Dec 14, and my appointment is Jan 25.  I spend a lot of my time thinking about how I'm pregnant, but some days I just don't feel pregnant.  I kindof feel nauseous all the time, especially after I eat pretty much anything.  My husband is a big health nut, and he's having a really hard time adjusting to the fact that I want sweets and bread right now, and not salad.  He'll get over it :-)  I started taking weekly pictures, and I've done a journal-ish document on my computer, but nothing too in depth.  I had thought about keeping a binder, but I'm just not sure what I would put in it, other than inspiration photos for the nursery.  I do think it's important to keep the paper work that you get at you OB appointments, but I've just been filing that away in our medical file.  What were you thinking of putting in a binder?  I hope you're feeling good!  I'm about to go eat some saltines...  Have a great day!

  • congrats to you! and thanks for the response I thought I was the only one in this board lol the journal is a good idea but I wouldn't know what to write in it.  I like to use checklists for other things.  so far I've made one of all the things we'll need to buy/register for so we can start budgeting and so I don't leave anything out.  I'm using pinterest for my nursery inspiration.  I'm also very forgetful so I'd probably put anything in the binder I might need to remember for later especially after baby gets here because I know I'll be a mess.  I'm actually starting to feel better but extremely hungry every two hours like clockwork no matter how much or what I ate two hours ago.  Also I've found I HAVE to have what I'm craving because everything else just sounds disgusting at the time.  I keep crackers by the bed in case I wake up starving.
