C-sections

For those who wore a belly band/compression garment after C section...

How was your placement? My incision is so low that if I try to cover that whole area with the band I can't sit comfortably. The way I have it now leaves my incision uncovered. The bulk of my swelling and "jelly" belly is covered however.

I just want to make sure I'm using it properly. I didn't even know about these bands when I had my first c section but wanted to try one out this time around. TIA.

  • I don't have an answer for that but I am curious what kind you got?

    Thanks!

  • Mine covered the incision, wore it around my hips went up to the bottom of my ribs.  As my belly got smaller it would ride up more often.

  • It was placed over my belly, not my incision. It was really low, but I could still bend enough to sit.

  • I had the one provided by the hospital and a Belly Bandit. Hated them both. My surgery was super low and I am short with a short torso so it rode up all the time. Not worth it IMO.
