Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Orange foods

How are you ladies making sure little one doesn't get too much? Right now green beans give LO gas and peas aren't all that high in nutrients. Trying to figure out how to avoid turning him orange. There isn't a lot if options in jarred foods that don't contain the beta carotene. He eats three times a day so avoiding those everyday is hard. At least once a day something has carotene, and his nose is looking orangey. Suggestions?

Re: Orange foods

  • he would have to have a ton of orange foods to make him orange.  I am sure he'll be fine.

  • I never even considered this. For a long time the only things DS would eat were oatmeal and squash. And then we added sweet potatoes. He's a fair-skinned redhead and I haven't seen any orange tint to him. Guess we just got lucky.
