How much did you gain during pregnancy?

How close are you to your pre-prego weight? Are you under or over and by how much?

I have FIVE more pounds to lose to get there and even still I think I should lose 5more due to the looser tummy these days. I took some breaks on trying to lose, but started tracking calories again on Jan 1. I WILL be in my old jeans by Valentines day, dammit! :) I only breastfed for 6 weeks.

  • I gained 63 lbs, and for someone who has been underweight and skinny their entire life, it was definitely difficult to deal with that gain and the difficulty of losing it. I had a lot of water retention and swelling for the duration of my pregnancy, though, and exactly a week after giving birth I had already lost 30 lbs. DS has been exclusively formula fed since birth. Currently, I'm 2 lbs above my pre-pregnancy weight but honestly over the past 8 months I haven't really put an effort into losing the weight or getting back into shape. It was very easy this past year to brush it off because over the summer, it was like, "Well, I just had a baby two months ago, it's not realistic to be back to being slim and trim that soon" and then the winter came and the excuse of "It's winter, I can just cover it up" prevailed. Now I am really determined to get back to a point where I am content with my body.

  • I gained 36 pounds.

    I am right at my prepregnancy weight right now, but I am a bigger girl, so I am wanting to loose quite a bit more (honestly, I'd LOVE to lose another 60 pounds)

  • I gained a whopping 65 lbs! I am back to pre-preg weight and have been since about early October or so..a lot of it was water weight, towards the last couple weeks I was gaining 8lbs per week! I will admit though, I definitely didn't eat as well as I should of...also was on bedrest for a good portion of my pregnancy and unable to do any form of exercise. Next baby going to try and keep the weight down and hopefully be more active!

    Also being back to my pre-pregnancy weight, a lot of my clothes still don't fit- my shape is different now and I guess not as toned as it was :( Oh well!

  • I gained 30lbs during this pregnancy and I've lost all but 5 of it. I plan to get my butt in gear and lose about 25 though because I wasn't at the best weight for me to begin with. I'm hoping since I'll be going to work soon and LO to daycare I'll have time with my schedule to hit the gym in the morning after she leaves with DH....hoping. ;)

  • 28 lbs gained, all lost by 6 months PP. I think in my case it's the Breastfeeding (still going) as I certainly haven't had the time to exercise and I eat like a pig! DH on the other hand has about 10lbs of pregnancy weight to lose still. :)

  • I gained 22 pounds and am probably 10 pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight. DD is MSPI and still nurses like crazy so I haven't had to put forth much effort. However, she was colicky for 10 weeks and to date has only slept through the night once, so I figure easy weight loss is the universe throwing me a bone......

  • I gained 21 lbs and was down to pp weight by the time she was two months old. I am actually 10 lbs less that my starting weight with Emma but am pregnant again. I hope to gain the same amount this time. I do notice clothes not fitting same way as before, and it sucks!

  • I gained 25 lbs and I have 2 lbs to go to be at my PP weight.  Most of my clothes fit but I really want to get back to jogging/running.  My stomach has a lot of lose skin and I feel out of shape.  

    I'm still breastfeeding, I eat whatever I want (excluding dairy since DS has a Milk protein intolerance), and have only ran once a month since he was born.  So I think most of the weight loss is due to breastfeeding, keeping up with my almost 4 year old, and not eating enough calories due to being to busy with work.   

  • Well my youngest two are 18 months apart so I never got my body back between pregnancies. I have no idea what I weigh now and don't want to. My Pre middle baby cloths don't fit but my in between stuff does. I'm slowly working on my self BUT sweets make me happy and a happy momma is better than a skinny one.

  • I gained 30-35lbs and lost it by 3 months pp.  i am still at the same size.  I'm just very soft and untoned.  I keep telling myself I will start working out but haven't at all.

  • I gained exactly 25 pounds, (but had gained 7 while trying to get preg), I was down to my pre-pre-pregnancy weight about a month later. Luckily with this pregnancy, I am still only +1 from my orig weight!

    I gained 30-35 (I say that because at the end, it fluctuated SO much based on how much much water I was retaining that day). I could tell I would be heavier on the scale if my ankles were huge, then the next day I would have smaller ankles and I would be less lol.

    Anyway, I am back to pre-pregnancy weight and have been since about 1 month PP. Doesn't matter though, my body shape is different so that is what matters. Had to go up a size in jeans because of my hips. So although the same weight, I am forsure not how I was.  

    This is exactly me except my pants fit, but none of my tops fit and had to buy new ones.

  • I gained 65 lbs and lost half of that. Between still having diquervain's tendonitis and stress eating after being flooded out of our house after hurricane Sandy, I haven't stressed about the weight. I'm going back to acupuncture this week for my wrists and I am treating myself to a new gym membership so I can get some "me time" alone for an hour or so every other day. I'm not being hard on myself because I feel well now (except the tendonitis) and I truly love working up a sweat so the weight will come off in due time. I really have a different perspective of my body since having Fifi: my curves rock and make me more cuddly for my daughter. I also look at eating healthy foods and getting healthier as leading a good example for her.

  • I gained 35 and lost 30 by the time I got home from the hospital. The 

    last 5 is still there. I don't really care and don't have time to worry about my diet or exercise. 

  • I gained 50 pounds. I started Weight Watchers around 8 weeks post partum. I was able to loose all the weight by 4 months post partum. It is kind of weird because I EP'd with DD1 and had a horrible time loosing weight. It didn't really come off until I quit. This time I kept DD2 at the breast, and no problemo.

    I even bought smaller jeans, hooray! However, after the holidays they are feeling a little snug. I need to get back at it.
  • I gained 20 pounds.  I currently weigh 25 less than when I got pregnant.  I have no idea how.. other than EPing.. and I eat a lot.
  • I lost 15 my 1st trimester- so with gaining that back, I gained 23 lbs. I am now 12.5lbs below my starting weight when I got pregnant.  I have done nothing except breastfeed- LO is still ebf except for the solids he gets through BLW.  We originally started out doing purees, but he has a feeding disorder, and I found BLW worked better for him. 
  • I gained 50 pounds as well and have lost 60.  I just weaned recently and am just waiting to blow up again :(

  • I gained right around 50 which is what I gained with my first and had basically just lost it when I got pregnant again. This time, I am about 10 lbs under pre-pregnancy weight. I have a big BFing boy to thank, sure wasn't anything I did. Starting to work on losing 15 more to get down to college weight.
