Dry chapped lips?

Lo's mouth is awful. I know baby's lips get dry, but he won't take a paci and I feel like his lips are extremely chapped. Can babies have vaseline or anything on their lips? It just looks painful.

    My lactation consultant said lanolin works great on babies lips/mouth area. I'll apply a little when he is sleeping.

    Our pedi told us to use Vaseline even when DD was 2 weeks old, it works really well for adults too!

    I was wondering the same thing and a friend brought me some baby Chapstick/balm. It's made by the Bordeaux butt paste people and its for chapped lips and cheeks!
