GBCB posts are stupid. Seems like a shameless plug for attention.

I roll my eyes hard when people say twins run in the family. Ummm...if you have two sets of twins in the last four generations, they don't run in the family. If you have five or six then maybe.

I strongly dislike coffee, unless you load it up with cream and sugar I'm not drinking it! Same goes for any coffee flavored or based beverage (I'm looking at you Starbucks - the beverage shop not the bumpie!).

I'm not sad about Logan turning 1. It doesn't make me tear up, I'm not going to cry about ordering invites. I don't really get why I would. It's crazy to realize he's going to be 1 next month but not sad.

I should note that as a younger baby he cried. All the time. This could be why I don't miss those younger days!

I also hate cats, and I have two of them.

I used to love cats, but since DD has come in to the picture, they have been horrible. They piss and poop all over their litter boxes, but not in them... They claw everything despite using kitty caps and providing them scratching posts... They shed all over the place and they sleep in DD's stuff... They get cling ons when they poop, and it ends up in the carpets and furniture.

This being said, I love my cats and I won't get rid of them... But once they are gone, I'm never getting another car EVER again.

Pretty sure Lancy's post is just a joke. Like, one you're supposed to laugh at, not get worked up over. From what I saw yesterday, a lot of people agreed with you. And then we had over a full page of posts yesterday.

I can't stand when people say "They say..." My FIL is notorious to saying stuff that doesn't sound remotely true, but adding a "They say" to it. Example..."They say anything lower than whole milk is really kind of bad for you" "They say that real butter is healthy and that you should eat lots of it"

Who are THEY and why are they saying all these things. What do THEY know?! As you can tell....I am quite annoyed. Try reasoning with him about cigarette smoking..seriously...I am sure they have something to say about that, too!

I'm going to piggy back off of this one and say that I am not a baby person. I want another LO, and I look forward to having two children and all that comes with that, but if the next baby popped out 6 months old, I'd be fine with that. There were some things that I enjoyed from 0 to 6 months, but for the most part, DD was never happy for more than half an hour, she never slept at night or during the day, and she lived attached to my boob all day which was very limiting. I'm not sad that DD is turning one.. I'm absolutely loving her at this age, and I look forward to doing more interactive things with her.

I had just checked in on my last Facebook PSA post, and some bish that I don't know called me a "queen bee who will be knocked off her throne in a few months", so I had to say something FB related. (PS-> If you're reading this, bish, call me out, but don't hide the insult 25 posts in. I don't know what your issue is with me, but let's try and be adults, shall we?)

Sept07b2b, I'm sorry you if you took it like I was upset. I was just trying to make light of all of the facebook kerfuffle that's been happening lately. Apparently my joke font was turned off. If you'll read my post, I didn't completely disagree with you. Smile

Oh FFS. Yes, it is clearly of no concern to any of us. How amusing is it that you say it's of no concern to the regulars? By regulars, you mean people who contribute REGULARLY to this board, as in, the ones who do most of the posting. So if you consider them regulars then obviously they're posting on here. And how many different people who are in the FB group did you see say that they hope this board stays active and like this board, and that the slow down is likely just because of the holidays?

I completely understand why people wouldn't want to join the FB group. I didn't want to join the first one because I didn't know people well enough then and when the first round of invites happened for this more recent group I still didn't ask to be included. I only joined recently when I felt more comfortable with everyone. So I do understand, but the "what about the lurkers?!" argument isn't one that I get at all.

My UO - if you don't like how something is, work to change it and make it better, don't complain and ask others to fix it for you.

No, I totally get it. I'm not upset or worked up. I think I'm just a little disappointed with how everything transpired yesterday, and I'm really sad that it ended up with Sooner's GBCB. I know I'm being a little sensitive to it. I was just replying to say that I really didn't mean to cause any harm with the post and was taking the opportunity to apologize for all the drama it caused.

If people aren't comfortable enough to post by now, I doubt they ever will be. Maybe we'll get an occasional person who stumbles onto the board, but honestly it's not any of our responsibility to keep the board active for lurkers. It would be wonderful if more people did join and I would welcome that, but I'm not going to decide where to post based on people that I have never interacted with.

Well, I apologized for the post, so can we just move past this now? That is what I asked in my first response to Lancy. I just want to move past it. Clearly the whole post ruffled feathers and pissed people off. I was just trying to clarify that that was not my intention. I am a new poster, and I don't want to get off on the wrong foot with everyone. I thought I was doing something helpful, but it was not taken that way by everyone, so I just want to move on.

I think McDonalds food is absolutely disgusting. I don't think I'd eat it even if someone paid me.

Their fountain soda, on the other hand, is the best soda in the world. I think they put some sort of crack in it.

A business casual dress code should only be reserved for Fridays or maybe even not at all. We have clients here today, clients from my team specifically and I am dressed super fancy, and I feel great. It also feels great to be around peers that look just as professional. We can wear jeans everyday around here except for when we have clients and I think it sets the wrong tone in our office.

You, however, can no longer be my friend! I live in jeans at work. I am so much happier when I am comfortable and I have not found "dress" clothes that are comfortable yet. It doesn't help that I'm short and fat and all of the professional clothes I found were for tall thin people...

I think that as long as I'm productive it doesn't matter what I wear. That being said, I am not in a client facing role so take it with a grain of salt.

Their fountain drinks are awesome because they're Coke products! Coke is way better than Pepsi.

If I were desperate and had to eat something from McD's, I'd eat the fries but I don't really like them.

Coke is a billion times better than Pepsi and they have Dr Pepper which pretty much trumps everything.

Coffee is foul. I think if something is an "acquired taste," maybe we're just not meant to eat/drink it.
