Best portable crib?

Not necessarily a pack n play, but what portable crib do you like and why? We used peapods for my older kids, once they were over a year, but they still use them sometimes and I need something that will work for my son while he's still a baby, but can grow with him. We do a lot of travel and most by air, so pack n play's aren't always easy to bring and I'm not a fan of renting them. What do you use and like?

Re: Best portable crib?

  • We have the Phil & Ted's Traveller. I really like it. It's light and compact (would fit in your luggage). The drawback is that it takes longer to assemble than some other options (like the Bjorn travel crib). I also like that it's really long. I think it'll work until our son is at least 3.

  • My friend has a portable Joovy that she really likes. I think it is lighter than a pack and play.

  • we have the bjorn. It has a case that's easy to travel with and just pops open when you get to the hotel late at night. It is $$, and I think Joovy came out with something similar last year.
