Around the bend....

Not sure if you ladies feel the same way, but ringing in the new year really made me feel like we have "turned the corner or "came around the bend" after the long stretch of pregnancy. 

February is so close. I know we already had some premie babies, and we will have other early births as we approach our EDDs... But we are all almost there!

So Cheers to 2013 and my thoughts and prayers go out to all us mamas. Here is to the last few weeks. May they bring us health, peace, and happy healthy babies.

    I was just telling DH this last night as we were watching the New Years Eve ball drop! He said something about having the new baby "next month" and that struck the panic button in my brain! All of a sudden I'm like, OMG, the baby is going to be here in 7 weeks, what are we going to do?!?! We are so not ready!

    I asked him if it was weird, now that I'm 7 months along, that NOW I'm nervous about having a second child.

    He laughed at me, of course.  But then today I had a deep breath moment when I realized, we really don't have that much left to do.  I have the bassinet, I have enough gender neutral baby clothes (We won't know sex until birth) to make it through several days without washing, and they will last long enough for me to feel good enough to go shopping and really buy pink or blue.  I have my cloth diapers, they are washed and stuffed, I have my changing kit-- I don't have room for a whole table, so I have a portable bucket that has a pad and it's filled and ready.  The only thing I still need to pick up is the car seat (been ordered, just hasn't come in yet), and if we have a boy, we'll need to stop on the way home and pick up any supplies necessary to care for his circumcision. There isn't anything else we absolutely NEED before the baby arrives.  I can get it all afterwards, if need be. Big Smile

    And holy crap have I mentioned I am SOOOOOOO ready for this kid to get off my ribs and lungs?!

                    We're Going to be a Family of 5!
