sock on or offf at gynecology exam?

in most gynecology exam videos and photos on the net, patient is at gyno chair with barefoot on stirrup. why they take them off?

    Ha, I was just there today. I left mine on. Maybe they were wearing sandals?

    Maybe all those patients wore flip-flops or shoes that they don't need socks with.

    Even though this is a troll I always have socks off. I live in Florida and I never wear sneakers, flip flops are my go to so I wouldn't have socks on to begin with.
