Erroll?

My courtesy clerk at the grocery store today was named Erroll.  He was probably in his upper teens. Not a name I see often.  And all I could think of was Erroll Flynn.

"Old time" names are popular but is this too obscure?

    One of the Weasley's owls in Harry Potter is named Errol.  :)

     It is pretty obscure... there were only around 100 babies given this name in 2011.  I like it, though!  It's easy to pronounce and spell, and it's not made up or trendy.

    A couple of friends I have had boys with the mn Erroll .... I don't understand the fascination ... it's not my style.

    I did too! not sure if I love the spelling, but not a bad sounding name!
    trying for #1 since May 2012... we're adopting! bringing home baby boy in january 2015!

    I have never heard of Erroll.  Maybe it's his great granddad's name?

    There was a second grader that I worked with last year named Errol.  I was very surprised to see it on a kid that young.
