Celeb Bod

So what's your goal? Any post baby celeb bods you want to achieve after baby?

I saw Megan Fox on Ellen the other day. She said she worked out through her whole pregnancy, but man she looks great! She's my motivation! Of course I'm not sure if she ate, however I will definitely be eating.

Re: Celeb Bod

  • um, no. Just no.

I want to be a healthy weight for ME. If I looked to look like a celebrity I would constantly feel defeated. They have personal trainers, nutritionists and chefs. I have none of that. It annoys me that the average jane is supposed to somehow achieve the same results with none of the same support.

    So yeah. No.

  • Heheh with two kids, I am just shooting for losing the baby weight again and using my gym membership.  After already having one kid, I don't compare myself to something I couldn't achieve and just shoot for healthy.  Good for you to have a goal.

  • Oh I'm not putting myself through hell to look like something my body isn't supposed to be like... and be unhealthy, I mostly meant motivation to lose baby weight. I could never or wouldn't want to pull that off. I'm just amazed she ever had a baby! I would like to get back to a decent figure again but I've battled weight fluctuation my whole adult life... So I need a little motivation.
  • Get back into my 2's. I am hoping to not gain 70 pounds this time. Training for my half and tri in the fall will help.
  • My motivation is all of my cute tops that I already own and love but thanks to this bloat and what's coming I'm packing them in bins for awhile. I also admit a couple of them were gettng snug preP. We have a limited amount of basement storage so hanging on to them is a big deal. I'm refusing to give them away and I just want to get into my favorite old clothes! That's my motivation!

  • As the artist De La Vega says, "Beauty magazines make my girlfriend feel fat."

I don't feed into that BS.

  • I have my before pictures that I'm pretty proud of, so that's my motivation. It took me a lot of hard work to get to that state of fitness, and discipline/will power with eating and working out. For me, I'm happiest when I'm confident to wear the clothes I want to wear, and when I feel healthy inside (my digestive system is working great, I'm no bloated or tired or any of that jazz).

I personally find The Biggest Loser really motivational. I know they are literally there for 9+ weeks on a ranch dedicated to weight loss, but some of those people are 450+lbs and if they can run on a treadmill or lift weights and work hard, then so can I. I also work best with a specific goal. Last year it was two triathlons, this year it was the Tough Mudder. With a July baby it'll be hard to get back in shape for something before the cold weather in Toronto, but I might look at a 1/2 marathon in the fall. Once I register for something, I don't back out.

It IS possible to be in 'celebrity' shape without the celebrity support. It's really just a matter of time, motivation and priorities. Not saying it's right or wrong either way, it's just the way I see it.

  • I'm aiming to modify my workout routine a little--work on squats and keeping my arms and back strong.

There's a possibility of husband and I inheriting a farm shortly after little one arrives and I'm to be managing the garden so exercise through pregnancy and ramped up post baby too!  Super farmer mama!

  • If I can get back to where I was after DS #1 I'll be very happy. I gained 55 pounds while pregnant with him and lost 65. I was the smallest I've ever been in my adult live after having him. I guess I'm going to find out if that was fluke, or if I can get back there.

  • Xles how did you do it? I'd love to drop 10 beyond where I started to get me back to where I was for much of my late 20s. In my early 30s 10 pounds crept on and while for the most part I accepted them as a part of age, I also struggled to make any movement on the scale even when I tried. I figure i'll be working to lose the baby weight so maybe I could keep going. I know we're not there yet, but BTDT moms, I'd love tips!
  • No celebs for me either. I just want to get back to where I was before baby :) I had just worked my butt off to lose about 30 pounds. I started Jan 2012 and finally reached that in August right before my second degree black belt graduation (my two news years resolutions). So now that I know I can do it, I'm ready to do it all over again once I get through my healthy pregnancy and have a healthy baby :)
