DD has been day trained since 27 months. January 1st will be 4 months. I've been off work for the holidays (she usually goes to daycare). She peed her pants twice yesterday and will not sit on the pot when she has to poop. I'm going crazy. I'm not sure what to do to fix the situation.
I've told her she will need to wear diapers like a baby if she pees in her pants again. She says "I don't wear diapers." But she still has had accidents.
Help!
Re: How do you deal with PT regression?
DD is doing the same thing here. 5 accidents in 2 days. I put her in nappies.
Then one afternoon she had a naked bottom, and was clearly getting ready to wee on the floor. I asked if she needed to go to the toilet, and she said no. I took her anyway and she starting screaming. I made her sit on the toilet and sure enough she pee'd within seconds of sitting down.
I asked her about why she wanted to pee on the carpet. It turns out she likes to see it, and to see the puddle. She's also been pouring her milk on the carpet.
This conversation was yesterday. I promised her that we'll have a play with some water and see if we can find some old carpet scraps in the garage to play with. In the meantime she's still in pull-ups.
So my point is, maybe she has a reason for peeing on the floor?
