For the past 4 days Mabrey has been refusing her bottles. She's always been a great eater, both bottles and solids. She's was sick when this first started but is much better now and still only drinking 1-2 ounces per feeding (4x a day). I'm not sure what to do. Just wait it out and hope she starts drinking them again? My ped gave me the ok to start WCM after Christmas so that's an option too.

After 2+ years and multiple treatment cycles,
including an IVF vacation in Costa Rica/Panama,
IVF #2 brought us our miracle baby!

Surprise! Baby Boy is on the way!

Re: Bottle strike?
Allison is in sort of the same phase...she only takes one 8 ounce bottle in the mornings (and most mornings will only get about 6 of those in her tummy). Very rarely we can get another 5-6 in her later in the day but I would say if she gets 10 ounces a day it is a huge accomplishment.
Our ped told us to just give her water at meals to make sure she was getting enough fluids. She still eats solids pretty well but she is sick right now and isn't eating much of anything.
If your ped ok'd it, go ahead with the WCM, but I wouldn't give up on formula completley. Have you tried formula in a sippy cup?
I was going to suggest formula in a sippy too.
Skyler has been doing the same thing. She nurses fine, but she has been taking only two bottles a day at daycare, about 7oz. She dropped down from 4 bottles a day one month ago and over the last week she dropped the third bottle. I just let her nurse as often as she likes to get the calories and fluids in her.
I did give her a some WCM at dinner yesterday and she drank it fine. As opposed to the first time she had it and vomitted it right up.
We're going through a nursing strike. This kid will only nurse about 2 times a day, and then at night. It's crazy. I was starting to think he was self weaning but then I did the research and found out that they don't usually wean from bottle/nursing, and it is probably just a strike.
I think you could probably take this strike as an opportunity to start WCM, if your babe can digest it, why not? I was considering it myself, but personally decided to wait it out until the next nursing strike if i'm ready for it. I know there will be plenty more.
I'm pretty sure that there's a wonder week around this age. Could be related to that. I know that my little guy is going through a major schedule change on his own, and I think it's contributing to the strike.
