My 3rd baby was my earliest, born at 36 weeks. However, I had severe Polyhydramnios with him and my amniotic sac literally couldn't hold anymore weight, so my water spontaneously broke. It was a HUGE gush that completely soaked my pants, but by the time we got to the hospital it had completely stopped leaking as his head covered the break. I had to argue with the nurse that it did indeed break, and after walking around for 10 minutes with a piece of nitrate paper in my undies, she finally realized I was right. I didn't go into labor for a while, though. He was 7lbs 2ozs.
My other 4 children were all born at 38 weeks and were 7.1, 8.2, 8.9, and 9 even. If Lo3 had been born later, he probably would have weighed more than Lo1 and Lo2 being as he was already over 7lbs at 36wks. Assuming that to be true, each of my babies have been bigger with each pregnancy.
*Julie* Wife to Micheal and mama of 5, soon to be 6!*
My 3rd arrived 2 days before his due date. My 2nd was on her due date and my first was also 2 days before. My third weighed 1 lb less than my 2nd who weighed 9lbs. 10 oz.
Re: ? for mamas who already have 3+ children
I had all 3 of mine at 38 wks and 2 days. weird huh? #1 was 6lbs 5oz, #2 was 5 lbs 8oz, and #3 was 6lbs 7oz
#2 is 4 yrs old now (at 30lbs) and is petite like me.
And to my surprise, #3's birth took way longer (13hrs at the hospital, and maybe like 6 hrs at home?) than the first 2 (5hrs, and 1.5hrs).
My 1st was 2 days early - 7lbs 20"
#2 was 10 days early - 6lbs 18"
#3 was 25 days early - 6lbs 9oz 19"
#1 - born at 37 weeks exactly weighing 7.10
#2 - born at 40w6d weighing 8.11
#3 - born on her due date weighing 7.10
No inductions.
