I am being a PW today but DS is sleeping and I have to work tonight so I am trying to get my bump time in. LOL! Hayden is not walking yet but I am thinking he will probably be walking at some point this summer. I would like to buy him a pair of sandles for the summer but I don't want them to be too big or too small. When would be a good time to get his feet measured and get some sandles?
Re: PW: When should I buy his first pair of walkers?
We got ours when each munchkin was wanting to be standing (on their feet) out side of the house.
I highly recommend Stride Rite for a professional measurement and a flexible sole.
Avoid white and make sure you get something that covers the toes in front as he'll be falling/scraping that area a lot.
And if cost is a factor consider getting him sized, finding the shoe you like, and then finding it cheaper on ebay or a discount website.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
We went to Stride Rite about a month ago and got him sized and bought a couple of pairs of shoes. I wanted him to get used to the more solid shoes and he is starting to take some independent steps.
They said that at this age, his shoe size could change every 3-4 months. So, I'm waiting until the end of the month or May to buy sandals in the hope that they will last the whole summer!
He likes to stand everywhere including outside! I looked on Stride Rite's website and we don't have a store locally. Boo!!! They do have a measurment chart that you can print off and do at home. Do you think this would be accurate enough?
Thanks! I happened to be in Payless the other day and had them measure his feet and they told me he needed a 4. I tried on a pair of 4 sandles and they were falling off of him. I don' t think she gave me a very accurate measurement.
Leah has tiny feet and she is in size 4 also. They are slightly big on her but the size 3 doesn't fit at all.
