I think it sounds so silly and childish when people intro themselves on a message board by saying something along the lines of "Can I play too?" It makes me want to reply "okay, but you're 'it'!"
1) When people say something is stupid, I think less of them. Stupid is a terrible argument and I feel like they just can't defend their point. I agree if that's their only argument. I don't mind it quite as much if they elaborate. "I think it's stupid because...." the phrase does sound a bit juvenile though. I can't stand it when people use exclamation points in written "discussions/arguments". (like here, on TB) I don't know why, but it makes me take them less seriously.
4) I don't like pictures with Santa. I don't like anything about them. Agreed. Sometimes I click "like" on them on Facebook, but it's only because the baby/kid looks cute. I have yet to see one where I didn't think the Santa was creepy. We won't be getting Aria's picture taken with Santa unless she asks.
5) I don't like when people post all about their illnesses on facebook. Saying you're sick is one thing, posting about it all the time and going into detail is more than anyone needs to know. Agreed. The amount of oversharing on facebook is staggering. If it weren't for all the cute babies I see there now (Thanks to the 212 mommas group!), and keeping long-distance family and friends updated on Aria I probably wouldn't even have facebook.
6) I think there are a lot of people who shouldn't go to college right away. If you don't want to be there, then you're wasting everyone's time and money. Just work and come back when you're adult enough to be able to get something out of the class. Agreed. I only went for a few weeks and quit because I needed to get myself (and my PTSD/anxiety issues because of my biological dad) straightened out. I'm so happy that I did.
Man I sound like a b!tch when I put these all in a row. I promise that I'm not this negative in real life. There are many words I might use to describe you, but "negative" is definitely not one of them. (a negative person could not have such a happy, smiley baby!)

Definitely agreed. Exclamation points don't really have a place in an actual serious discussion.

I don't like everyone on this board. Not just in the "roll my eyes when they post" way, but in the "if I ever meet you IRL I will punch you in the face" way. Seriously, get over yourself. Sometimes I read some posts (usually by the same handful of posters) and wonder who the hell would be friends with these people. And the kicker is....the posters I'm thinking of are most likely NOT who you think they are!
I'm well aware that some of you may feel this way about me so no worries there! I don't live in a bubble (often)!

For some reason, I have a feeling I might be one of those that you might want to punch. I don't know why I get so negative sometimes! Looking back at my posts, I realize I do quite a bit of complaining here and might come off as a know-it-all. Sorry about that.
But yeah, I don't think I'd be friends with some of you IRL either, ha.

I'm planning a huge 1st bday party for Asher complete with a smash cake and 1 year photo shoot. There will be lots of people there and I can't wait. I love planning parties. I know some of you don't think it's a big deal but I think it's a great reason to get our families together and celebrate. Birthdays are a huge event in our family and 1st bday parties are always a big deal.
I don't really have a problem with the big party so much, or making it a big deal, it is more the part where people spend insane amounts of money on a 1-year old's party. That is crazy.

I agree with all of this. The girls go to my ILs for a few hours almost every Sunday. Sometimes we run errands and clean, but most of the time H and I go to lunch and a movie. My ILs have a wonderful relationship with the girls and the girls jump into their arms when we get there. I love that their so close, and I love that H and I get some time together each week. Once every month or two they spend the night there, which I also love. The only thing I don't like is that I wish my family wanted to spend more time with them and it bums me out that my ILs are closer with the girls then my family is. My dad and brother can't even tell them apart
My UO is that I think it's unhealthy to not want to do things without your kids. If you don't have family or affordable/trustworthy babysitters around that's one thing, but I've seen people mention that they haven't spent much time without their kids since they've been born or had date nights with their husbands and I don't think that's good. I'm not talking overnights or anything, but a few hours here and there.

I still don't get the argument that people need to know the gender to plan for a baby. Unless you are painting your nursery entirely pink or blue, it seems a silly excuse. It's fine with me if people want to find out (or not) but I think that reasoning is kind of silly.

I think unions have their place. We don't have nursing unions in Texas and it means we can end up with eight or more patients if that's what the hospital feels like doing. That's completely unsafe. In California they have laws dictating the maximum safe number of patients a nurse can have, and I think we reallyneed that here.
agree. Lower patient to nurse ratios are proven to have better patient outcomes but very few states have instituted and set standards.

I HATE skinny jeans, and I HATE that that is the trend and has been for years. I haven't been able to fit into skinny jeans and look good in them since I was a freshman in college - and some of you ladies here were still in diapers back then. Why can't wide leg jeans come back in style?? Pleeeease!!! Me and my pear shape, the only comfortable options are mom jeans or boot cut that are still pretty tight in the thigh. And whose brilliant idea was it to make skinny jeans for pregnant women??? WTF were they thinking on that one? The last thing I want on me when I'm cooking a baby in my belly is denim suctioned to my legs. Sheesh. The things us women put ourselves through in the name of fashion.

Totally agree with this. I sort of feel like there are only a few people on this board that could evoke such a strong feeling, so I think we all might have an idea of who it is, but I'm DYING to know. And I'm not even a regular! I'm just very nosy and bored at work and am sort of hoping to see a little drama on this board today!

Eh, anyone remember FebMomma2012? I know at least one of you out there has it in for me. Somehow, I manage to sleep at night. That said, I don't think I'd really care all that much if I found out who it was. At least MrMrs&Baby didn't hide behind an AE, so there's that...

For me, skinny jeans= boots. I have tons of cute boots that you could only see if I was wearing a dress. Now I have a really comfy pair of skinny jeans to put all my boots over and I love it! I don't think normal jeans are out of style my any means. Maybe the huge boot cut, but not normal jeans. Have you ever tried gap jeans? I find they are much looser in the leg.

You'd also have to find an epic gif to post with it.

JL - oldnavy.com has some trouser wide legs, I just ordered this week and they're supposed to arrive today. I'll let you know how they fit. I've found that even the wide legs today aren't really wide legs, just more like bell bottoms.

Doesn't this fall under the "vaugebooking" law? Like, if you don't like someone, at least have it in you to call them out. I mean, come on. I think we've all been around the block enough here that we all should have some BGP (Big Girl Panties) by now and can take it.
+1
Eh, anyone remember FebMomma2012? I know at least one of you out there has it in for me. Somehow, I manage to sleep at night. That said, I don't think I'd really care all that much if I found out who it was. At least MrMrs&Baby didn't hide behind an AE, so there's that...
It totally does...I would do "call outs" but I only look at siggys 99% of the time so I can't tell you the names. I can stary replying when they post though with "I would like to punch you in the face" if it would help!
I know of one name right now...but I can only remember her real name (from FB) and can't think of her TB name...I may go look it up just to give you something to go on!
Hahahaha. I'd die if you responded to a thread about something baby related with "I would like to punch you in the face."
For example:
OP: "So, why doesn't my baby eat solids?!?!?!"
MrMrsandBaby: "I don't know, but I'd like to punch you in the face."
You'd also have to find an epic gif to post with it.
Challange accepted!!!
Awesome.
JL - oldnavy.com has some trouser wide legs, I just ordered this week and they're supposed to arrive today. I'll let you know how they fit. I've found that even the wide legs today aren't really wide legs, just more like bell bottoms.

I tried finding a gif for you but I can't find the one I want!
Maybe after Christmas! Wouldn't want anyone to have a black eye for the holiday!
I knew I liked you haha.
Its a little weird how excited I am for you to name names.
