Hey there, zip am thinking of getting s carrier. My son is 6 weeks and I go back to work soon so I'm wondering if its worth it as I have no idea about baby wearing. Typically how long is it done for?
Also any one know but about infantino brand?
Thanks

You can baby wear for as long as you and baby want! As baby gets older, wearing changes but I've still worn my almost 4 year old on occasion when we were out at the zoo or something and he got tired. Even if you only wore for the next year, totally worth it to have a carrier!
I have lots of carrier info in my siggy link if you are trying to decide what to get. I'd echo the previous suggestion to make sure you get a carrier that provides knee to knee support - Infantino does have a few options that do this now.

I still wear my youngest a lot. We bring a carrier for my oldest when we go on long hikes but don't always use it since he's an active kid. We still do use it on occasion for my three year old though.
It really depends on your lifestyle/your child.
We still make good use of our baby carriers with my almost 15 month old - and it's priceless for traveling.
One of the coolest things I've seen is when we went to the airport last time we flew. There was a couple there wearing all 3 of their children. Mom had a tiny infant on the front and a big kid (5? 6?) on the back. Dad wore a 2/3ish year old on his front.
All 3 of mine like to be carried - there are fight between the older two about taking turns in the Ergo! For us, we've definitely gotten the most use out of the Ergo - the Moby and the slings I have I tend to only use for when they're very little (moby) up to a year-ish (sling).
I sometimes wonder if we should get a second Ergo..........;o)
I've used my Moby from day one, and I still use it with my 15 month old (25lbs, about 3ft tall). A friend has a 3 year old she wears with it (he's almost 40lbs...skinny lil guy). Definitely worth it!
I've carried two babies (mine and a friend's) at once, nursed while hiking wearing it, and it folds up easily into my purse so I can take it everywhere. DD hated being swaddled as an infant, and she still liked the Moby. Now when we're out and she gets tired or if she's sick or having really bad teething pain she wants to be carried in it. A different friend has a homemade Moby, works 50+ hours a week, and still gets lots of use out of it. The wrap is the only way her husband can get the baby to sleep when Mom isn't home. No adjusting needed, it fits both of them.
I also read that Moby has a smaller, ergo-style carrier called Moby GO...I tried it in a local natural parenting store and I'll definitely buy one if/when we have another so I'll have two on hand.
(I don't retail the brand, promise..I'm just sold on it!)
