renting a vacation house

We are considering a real vacation next Summer with N. We'd like to go somewhere within 2-3hrs drive and think a house rental is our best bet if we can find something reasonable. 

Anyone have sites/companies they have used to rent homes (rental by owners or property management) and had good luck

    I rented a house in Falmouth in September!  It's a really cute town with a ferry to Martha's Vineyard.  I had a great experience.  The house we rented was a 4 bedroom though so probably not what you'd want.  Let me try to find the website I used, it was specifically for Cape rentals I believe.

    Hmmm, I can't find old emails with the links in.  I know my SIL uses VRBO.com a lot and has good luck. 

    I'm guessing you'd want just a 2 bedroom?

    We go to Florida each summer and always use vrbo.com. We've had only good experiences!

    Thanks ladies.  Yes we are looking for 2BR since it is just the 3 of us.  Thinking Maine, Cape, Vermont or NH.  Florida sounds nice but that is too far just yet.

    A coworker suggeste VRBO and I've started to look around there.

    We've used homeaway.com for NH and Maine rentals.
