Oh yeah, you're not alone there. I actually whacked him with the trunk of the car one day leaving target... he was all snug in then at the very last sec did this backward flail, poor little noggin. Talk about screaming. I felt like total crap... I think we were both crying in the car. I was extremely grateful for nursing at that moment b/c that was our only recovery from that one. I still feel like crap about it... and I'll admit, I've only worn the beco once since. I didn't like it much to begin with, now we're both scarred. For whatever reason I don't have that problem in the ring sling, he hip rides so that's probably why.

Here's one for the books.... I walked into my trailer hitch today while wearing DS we both almost went head first into the ground. Baby wearing might have saved his life since both arms were free to grab the bumper and keep us from falling.
Oh and I use to walk em doors all the time and I wasn't wearing her.
I occasionally bump him -- especially if I have him wrapped on my back!! LOL, or worse, I've bumped into strangers (like at a craft fair or something) with him on my back!! LOL.. usually when he's on my front, I'm more aware.. but then I just spill food and water on him Not as much now that he's older (and, if I'm eating and wearing him, he thinks he should be trying to eat my food, too!!). It happens to all of us -- no horrible Mom on your end!!
I may have done it a few times. I'm bad about forgetting something in the car, having DS in my back, bending to get whatever I forgot out of the car and maybe once in a while he hits his head. I try to bend down far enough. He holds his hands out now and grabs the door frame if he gets close

DH just hit DS with the remote the other night. I think it affected him more than DS. I told him it won't be the last time that happens. It's not intentionally but sometimes accidents happen

I don't wear her very often but I bump her head on door frames all the time while carrying her, most of the time she doesn't even seem to notice but I always feel terrible oh and one time when she was only a couple of months old I dropped my phone on her head while trying to take a picture of her, so you are definitely not the worst mom ever.

Re: Babywearers, be honest...
Oh and I use to walk em doors all the time and I wasn't wearing her.
::raises hand::
I don't wear him so much anymore now that he's walking, but he's been bumped a few times back in the day.

It happens, and I feel terrible about it. It is even worse when they look up with big eyes like they are trying to ask, "Why?"
