I got a cold on monday and it started with a sore throat. Now it's just sinus congestion - and it feels like the worst is behind me. But I think I may have given it to Hayley. She was pretty stuffy last night - every time she ate she would choke because she couldn't breathe so well. And today she has an occasional cough. Aside from her refusal to do salt dough ornaments - her temperament has been ok, but I'm worried if this is my cold, she may have a sore throat.
Then I started to think, what do you do for a 10 month old who can't have cough drops? I know I can use the humidifier to calm the cough tonight (its not too bad though) - but what do we do to soothe the sore throat?
Re: LO's sore throat - what to do?
I suppose Tylenol or Advil would be the only thing, right? Only if she's crabby, though. If she's not crabby, it's probably not bothering her.
DS was so stuffy he couldn't drink his bottles last week, too. His ped said to give him 1/2 tsp of children's Zyrtec once a day and it really helped.

This is what I was told when Eli was sick a few weeks ago. The nurse even said warm chicken broth was okay too.
