BFP!

I can't believe I am writing this, considering that yesterday I was pretty sure I was going to be out this cycle. I had a temp drop yesterday, and I figured my period would come in a few days, but this morning I had a HUGE temp spike. So, I decided to test. I dipped a wondfo and the line came up immediately. Not really believing it, I dipped a FRER (the last one I had), and I pretty dark line came up. I am going to go buy a digi later today.

Timing: O-5, O-3, O-2, O-1, this is the first cycle in a while that we did ED in the few days before O. Today is 13 dpo, and I initially wasn't going to test until after my luteal phase had passed (would have been Saturday), but with the temp spike today, I couldn't resist.

What we did: I decided to temp this cycle, even though I had taken a pretty long hiatus. I am so glad I did. I also started acupuncture and herbs this month, but I have no idea if that contributed to my BFP or not. I also used OPKs, checked CM, and drank loads of water.

EDD: August 29, 2013, according to Fertility Friend. Considering that I ovulated on CD11, I imagine that my OB will have a due date in early September though.

Symptoms: I've been having very light cramps for a few days now, but I just thought it was my body being a jerk. I also noticed last night that my nipples are a little painful, but I didn't want to read too much into it. I also didn't have any spotting this cycle - usually around 7dpo, I'll see some light spotting or some tan CM. This cycle I didn't see anything like that. Other than that, I don't really have any symptoms.

How I told DH: He was still asleep when I tested, and I initially thought about waiting to go out and buy a onesie or something, but I couldn't hold it in. I actually went in and woke up him up and told him that I had something I needed to show him. He was half asleep (and a little mad I woke him up, I think), but he perked right up when he walked into the bathroom and saw the tests. He got a goofy grin on his face, and gave me a big hug.

I want to thank everyone on this board for the support and insight you have given me. I looked at some other boards, and the delightful mixture of level-headed advice, snark and kindness was perfect for me. This was our 8th cycle (7th month) TTC, and I am so glad I started posting in September after lurking a while. I cannot wait to see more of you over in 1st tri!
